Breeona McClendon, RN, BSN, CPST is a registered nurse and community advocate dedicated to improving postpartum and mental health outcomes for families. Her work centers on creating safe, inclusive spaces where parents feel seen, supported, and heard during vulnerable life transitions.
Breeona’s work is grounded in a broad nursing background that includes home health, acute care, and hospice settings. Her clinical experience spans birth and postpartum through early childhood, adulthood, and geriatrics, allowing her to support families across the full spectrum of life and caregiving. Alongside her nursing practice, she brings expertise in lactation and feeding support, child and infant safety, and perinatal mental health. Her approach blends evidence informed nursing care with clear communication and compassionate presence, helping families feel supported, capable, and steady during times of transition.
She is the founder of Ruth & Honey Co., a nurse led postpartum and family support practice offering postpartum nursing care, private duty nursing, and respite support for parents and caregivers. Services are designed to bridge the gap between medical care and real life needs, providing skilled nursing oversight alongside compassionate, relationship centered support in the home.
Breeona believes healing and equity begin with access, representation, and trust. She continues to advocate for care models that honor the cultural, emotional, and practical needs of families while uplifting parents through personalized postpartum care, caregiver relief, and skilled in home nursing support.
